A fireball witnessed by more than 80 people across Michigan was not a meteor, NASA confirmed.
According to the agency’s Meteor Watch, the streaking fireball was a satellite making reentry into Earth’s atmosphere. The bright long-lasting fireball was spotted around 12:43 a.m. on Oct. 20.
